The Rock-It 6’ RUBIX is a performance soft top for walking on water. With a rounded tail and removable thruster 3x fin setup you will part the seas as you travel through the barrel & emerge like a God. With 49 litres of volume, it’s a wave catching machine and great first shortboard for júnior, but as soon as it’s double-over knee high Mum and Dad can rise from the dead to paddle out and show the kids how it’s done!

The RUBIX is made with a focus on durability using environmentally sensitive manufacturing processes. Two marine wooden stringers are coated with an epoxy nano-coating to resist water absorption, then surrounded with a proprietary EPS foam and a color-fast & UV resistant soft top layer. The soft top has a wide texture and doesn't require wax, although wax will improve grip. The entire board is heat laminated with no harmful dyes, glues, resins or toxins in the production process, and manufactured in a facility that uses collected rainwater. All materials used are recyclable.

SHARKGUARD

Six epoxy coated specialized magnets are imbedded into the foam beneath the HDPE slick bottom of the board, projecting a magnetic field into the water around the board rider. This is a known and effective shark deterrent. The magnetic field overwhelms a shark's sensory electroreceptor system and causes discomfort in the animal. No harm is done to the shark. No batteries or recharging are required.

SharkGuard Reduces Risk But Does Not Eliminate It

SharkGuard is a shark deterrent that helps reduce the risk of unwanted shark interactions, but we do not guarantee complete protection or prevention of all shark encounters. There is no guarantee of zero shark interactions with the device.

Ambush attacks from large predatory species will not be deterred by SharkGuard.

Magnetic Field & Medical Devices. Because SharkGuard uses strong magnets, people with pacemakers, defibrillators, or other implanted medical devices should not attempt to handle or ride a board containing SharkGuard technology without consulting a doctor.

All Rock-It surfboards come with a one year warranty against manufacturing defects.

Why the Sea Camo Stripes on the bottom? In 2013 University of Western Australia neurobiologist Nathan Hart & entrepreneur Hamish Jolly conducted research that indicated a zebra striped pattern was a deterrence to sharks & presented their results in a Ted Talk. The patterns disperse the shark’s ability to identify the item, and mimic non-food source items in their environment. Of course there are no guarantees, but if there is an indication something could be safer, why not do it?
